Screenings and demos

In context of the Performing Places seminar, a screening and demo programme will take place at the Theatre Academy auditorium. In the sessions, participating artists will present their work on performing places in Helsinki and elsewhere.

Mobile experiments

Performing Places involves three mobile experiments realized by choreographer Ari Tenhula, media artist Heidi Tikka and visual/performance artist Pia Lindman.  

The projects explore affective and bodily dimensions of the city of Helsinki and its locations. They translate themes from the artists' work into the context of mobile reception and production, by using and extending capabilities of the videoblog.

The experiments will premiere in Spring 2007. First drafts towards the pieces will be presented at the Performing Places seminar on November 7.
