Panorama is a multi-lingual news programme offering news and commentary about Finland in Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Thai and French languages. The programme makes an important contribution to the Finnish mediascape, where the growing immigrant population has no access to news about their new country in their own language.
Panorama combines citizen journalism and artistic experimentation to renew traditions of news programming. The editorial collective is formed by outspoken anchors who contribute views of their cultural and language community and add personal commentary to the news.
Running from 2009 to 2015, Panorama was one of the longest-standing series of the M2HZ.net tv channel, publishing over 120 programmes.
In 2010-2012, the production was supported by the EU Integration Fund as part of the Kotomedia project, and in 2013-2015 by RAY the Finnish Slot Machine Assocation.
